Established in 1903, the Oxford Window & Office Cleaning Company has been cleaning windows in and around Oxford for over 100 years
The company was originally founded by Jack Carter in 1903 under the name of The Oxford Window Cleaning and Carpet Beating Company. The invention of the vacuum cleaner put paid to the carpet beating and the company name evolved to what it is now. Jack ran it very successfully until 1957 when Derek White and Robin Hewson allowed him to retire by buying the business.
They retired in 2001, the window cleaning company passed down through the family and the business has evolved into what it is today.
We became one of the first companies in the area to use the revolutionary water fed pole system, commonly known as “Reach & Wash”. We started using this system because we were concerned about the hazards involved in using ladders as a means of accessing high level windows.
We became a limited company in 2004 and have gone from strength to strength.
The Oxford Window and Office Cleaning Company has a long tradition of quality service and competitive pricing. We carry £10 million public liability insurance and are accredited to the SAFEcontractor Health & Safety scheme. We are also members of the Federation of Window Cleaners..
